Uniontown, Ohio Lions Club

The Uniontown Lions Club recycles used eye glasses, both children and adults. We separate by class, clean and read the prescriptions of the eye glasses collected from various counties in our area.
These glasses are recorded with our lensometers, the prescriptions noted and placed in individual plastic see-through bags and packaged in boxes-of lots of 100.

Our Christmas party chairman, Bob Moffet was the evening’s emcee and had Lion Bud Bourne lead the club in a verse of “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer”.

After dinner the kids all ran to the front pf the club to secure their seats for the entertainment and course arrival of the big man. The evening entertainment was provided by the Wizard of Yo AKA Eric Monroe.

“I am writing to tell your readers about my experience with the Lions Club. The direct reason I became involved with this volunteer group is because of its work to help better the lives of people with vision impairment and blindness, and to help them better integrate into the community around them.”
